This charming antique silver-plated pitcher by Reed & Barton features a wonderfully expressive face motif design, often referred to as a “Jolly Face” or “Sunny Jim.” Measuring approximately 9 inches across from the handle to the spout and 6¾ inches tall, it presents a striking sculptural form that reflects the brand’s fine craftsmanship and whimsical artistry.
The pitcher is in very good condition, with no visible dents, cracks, or major damages. The surface retains a rich silver finish with a slight natural patina on the handle, adding to its vintage character. The underside is clearly marked “Reed & Barton 56404PT.”
A fine example of American silver artistry, this distinctive jug would make a wonderful addition to any collection of Reed & Barton silver, figural silverware, or character jugs, and a great conversation piece for display or use.
